The students of Lee’s Lessons are putting on a show! On Saturday November 14th, at 7 pm, these local guitarists will celebrate all of their hard work with a concert style recital. This show marks the end of the fall quarter and starts off the winter quarter classes with a bang! The recital takes place at Experience Community Church, 495 Holiday Circle in Forsyth, GA. Admission is free.
This “rock concert” style recital is not only fun for the audience, it gives the students valuable experience. The students get to play the songs and styles of music that they love with a real rhythm section. They also get to perform with their classmates, on stage, for their family and friends. Being able to do these things have been the dreams of many beginning guitar players. Their classes this fall have taken them step by step to this point, in a very relaxed and positive atmosphere. Instructor Lee Anderson will also perform several songs throughout the show. After the show, there will be a ceremony rewarding all students for their progress this fall.
Starting the very next week (Nov. 16th), current students will move up to the next level class and new beginning guitar students will attend “GUITAR 101”. This beginning guitar class takes you from never having played the guitar to performing for your family and friends in just 12 weeks. The class meets for an hour long session once a week. There is limited space available in this winter’s beginner class. If you would like more information about signing up for this class, please contact Lee Anderson at 478-254-1259 or visit www.leeslessons.com.
Lee’s Lessons is located at 44 E. Johnston St, in downtown Forsyth. Lee Anderson, a graduate of University of the Arts in Philadelphia, who has been playing guitar for 33 years and teaching guitar for 27, opened the Forsyth location of Lee’s Lessons in September of 2014. “With the help of Martie Brown, I started the business with just a few students and a wonderful special needs class. In just over a year , I have multiple classes in many levels of guitar instruction, our first recital and a growing business. Monroe county has been a wonderful place to start my business! I couldn’t be happier!”
Many thanks to Experience Community Church for hosting the recital! E.C.C. was founded in 2011 by Randy and Rachel Huff. They offer a contemporary laid back worship service and want everyone that comes through their doors to feel welcome!

Hi all! Starting today I have made a dedicated site for the Play Guitar Podcast (www.playguitarpodcast.com). The way I first had things setup was to have all of my lessons and podcasts in one site. But it turned out that just made things very confusing. By separating the sites, I hope to make things more organized. Playguitarpodcast.com will be for the podcast feed and blog posts related to the podcast. Leeslessons.com will be a video intensive site that focuses on guitar instruction.
Now that I have things figured out (I think), It’s finally time to get down to business. That is getting valuable content out on a regular basis. I’m so excited to get started!
In this first episode of the Play Guitar Podcast, I tell you a bit about myself and my thoughts on learning the guitar.
I also explain the format of the show and what you can expect in the future.
Thanks for stopping by leeslessons.com. I’m just getting things started here, and I’m very excited! This is home base for all of my online projects. My main focus is helping frustrated guitar players. I’m currently recording my first podcast ( The PLAY GUITAR PODCAST), and composing my first few blog posts. You can also expect to find my YouTube videos and guitar lessons here as well. Things here may be under construction for a while, so I appreciate your patience. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to get in touch with me on my contact page, or just leave a comment in one of the posts.
I hope to talk to you soon!
